Let’s create memories
Welcome to Ostseepfalz Photography, where we celebrate the extraordinary connection between humans and their pets. Based in the picturesque Oberpfalz, our lenses focus on the elegance, power, and grace of those magnificent creatures. Whatever your furry companion is – dog, cat or horse – together we’ll create unique photographic memories.
About us
Hi! We are Carmen and Peter – your passionate photographers.
My, Carmen’s, fascination with photography began in young years, when I had the chance to sneak away with my parents camera taking pictures along the shores of the Baltic Sea. And, being a child of the northernmost top of Germany, horseback riding was another hobby of me. Combining these two hobbies evolved into a deep appreciation for capturing the unbreakable and unique bond shared between humans and their beloved animal companions.
Growing up in the 80s in a small village in deeply rural north eastern Bavaria, dogs, cats and all other kinds of animals have always been a part of my, Peter’s, life. Just as it was all natural to me to spend a good share of my „pocket money“ on having photos developed I had snapped on my parent’s simple point and shoot cameras. Very often I took those cameras along on the daily adventures of my childhood. And so friends, nature, the family’s dogs and cats became quickly often photographed motifs of these adventures.

What to expect
First, let’s make sure we’re a perfect fit! You like what you read, heard, saw – feel free to book your session right away! Or we can have a phone call first to get to know each other. Anyway, before each shooting session we’ll have a call or meet in person to set up when and where the shoot will take place.
As life is what happens while you are busy making other plans – we’ll get in touch with you the very day before the shoot is set up for. Especially with outdoor shoots, weather is a crucial factor. In the case of weather conditions not matching the desired shooting topic, we’ll just set up a new date for the shoot.
On the day of the photo shoot: We’ll meet at the appointed time and place. The shoot will usually take one to two hours.
After the photoshoot: You will be provided with a gallery to select your favorites within two weeks after the shoot. You decide which photos you want to get as fully edited photos. After another two weeks you will get your fully edited full resolution digital photo files.
Why choose us?
You need even more reasons to decide on booking a photoshoot with us? Here they come: I, Peter, grew up in this region. I know where to go to for the best spots to shoot great photos at.
Use it or lose it – both of us are perfectly fluent in English. I, Carmen, (among many other visits to the US) spent my junior year of high school in Indiana, US, and Peter has studied English language sciences at college (B.A. AmE – University of Regensburg). We are both happy to have chances to speak English. So there is no need for you to speak German.
Book your session
Available Dates
As both of us have regular day time jobs besides photography, available dates are mostly limited to weekends and, in the summer months, to weekday evenings (Monday to Friday). So be quick to save your spot! And keep in mind: preparations and driving to the spot takes time as well. Therefore, on weekdays the photoshoot has to take place somewhere in about 30 minutes of driving time from Kohlberg.
Let’s create timeless memories together!
Thank you for considering Ostseepfalz Photography for your pet and family photography needs. We look forward to working with you!
Warm regards, Carmen and Peter
